Deleting your data
If you message us, comment on our posts or tag us on Instagram, we keep what you sent so we can reply. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we keep
When you contact Darb Creative on Instagram, we get:
- your Instagram username, profile name and the account number Instagram gives us
- the messages and comments you send us, and our replies
- any photos, files or links you send
We don't get your password, and we can't see anything on your account that you haven't sent or shown to us.
Why we keep it
To answer you, keep track of the conversation and follow up if you've asked about working with us. Some replies are drafted for us by software, and a person at Darb reads and approves every one before it's sent, apart from a few set replies, such as sending a file you asked for by commenting a keyword.
How long we keep it
If the conversation doesn't turn into work, we delete it after 12 months.
If we work together, we keep it with your other records for six years after the work ends, because UK tax rules ask us to. After that, we delete it.
How to have it deleted
Email hello@darbcreative.com with the subject "Delete my data" and your Instagram username, or send us a message on Instagram saying the same.
We'll delete everything we hold about you within one month and write back to confirm. It's free. If we have to keep something because the law requires it, we'll tell you what and why.
Deleting your data with us doesn't remove anything from Instagram itself. Messages stay in your own inbox until you delete them there.
