Privacy and cookies
We only ask for what we need to reply to you. We don't sell anything about you, there are no ad trackers, and we only set analytics cookies if you say yes.
Who we are
Darb Creative Ltd is a web design studio, registered in England and Wales with company number 17508416. Our registered office is 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.
We decide how the details you send us are used, which makes us the controller under UK data protection law.
For anything on this page, email hello@darbcreative.com.
What we collect
When you fill in the enquiry form, we get:
- your name, email and what you'd like the website to help with
- anything else you choose to add: your business name, phone number, business type and what you need
If you email us or message us on Instagram, X or Threads, we get what you send and the details your account shows us.
We also record how the site is used, through Microsoft Clarity: which pages you visited, where you clicked and how far you scrolled, with your device type and rough location. Anything you type is hidden from it. We do this so we can see what works and fix what doesn't (our legitimate interest). You can turn it off at any time with the button under Cookies. The site has no ad trackers and no tracking pixels.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, talk through what you need and give you a quote. The law lets us do that because you've asked us to, before any agreement between us.
We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.
Who else sees it
- Google runs our email. Your enquiry arrives in our Google Workspace inbox.
- Cloudflare hosts this site. Its servers handle every visit, including your IP address, so pages reach you and the site stays safe. When you send the form, Cloudflare passes your answers on to our inbox, and its Turnstile check looks at your connection and browser to tell a person from a bot.
- Microsoft runs Clarity, our analytics. It records clicks, scrolls and the pages you saw, with anything you type hidden, and keeps recordings for 30 days. It also uses your visits to improve its own products, under Microsoft's privacy statement.
They may handle data outside the UK, using the safeguards UK law requires. We never sell or share your details with anyone else, unless the law makes us.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry doesn't turn into work, we delete it after 12 months.
If we work together, we keep your records for six years after the work ends, because UK tax rules ask us to. After that, we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you what we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- stop using it, or use it less
- send it to you in a format you can take elsewhere
Email us and we'll answer within one month. It's free.
To have your Instagram messages and comments with us deleted, see deleting your data.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your details, tell us first and we'll put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Clarity records visits without cookies unless you say yes. Allow cookies and it sets its own (_clck, _clsk and a few others) to tell one visit from the next. Tap No thanks and Clarity stops recording, clears its cookies and doesn't load again in your browser. Close the box with the cross and nothing changes: no cookies, and we ask again next time. Your answer is kept in your browser so we don't ask on every page. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we take that as No thanks.
When you reach the enquiry form, Cloudflare's Turnstile check loads from Cloudflare, to make sure a person is sending it. Anything it uses in your browser is strictly needed for that check and nothing else, so it doesn't need your yes.
The fonts, films and 3D pieces all come from this site, so nobody else learns you visited. If you follow a link to Instagram, X, Threads or one of the sites we've built, their own cookies and privacy notices apply there.
If that ever changes, we'll ask you first and update this page.
